Organization

I have a few things on my mind, but mostly I'm spinning my wheels.
• Tackling an exciting challenge at work.
• Considering a new blog dedicated to baby wrapping since it's my main obsession these days, and these things do go in cycles.
• Organizing my multiple photography accounts: Photobucket, Flikr, Picasa, Mobile Me, and Facebook (does that count?).
• Getting more involved in the house renovation since it has taken on a life of its own out of neglect on my part.
• Using the iPad as a time saving device rather than a time sucking device (I'm using the Squarespace app to compose this post right now).
• Celebrating every moment with my baby who is already six months old today.

Bedtime Reading

© Spike Lee, Tonya Lewis Lee, Kadir Nelson

Niedźwiedź cannot get enough of Please Baby Please by Spike Lee & Tonya Lewis Lee and illustrated by Kadir Nelson.  We read it many times every night and it is a repeat request during the day as well.   The story is a day in the life of a toddler and her mother from 3 am, Go back to bed baby please baby please, until bedtime, Kiss me goodnight Mama please Mama please. The illustrations are gorgeous Kadir Nelson interprets the text both faithfully and inventively in detailed watercolor.

Small

2009© Periwinkle Bloom

The new issue of Small Magazine was published today and I've spent hours pouring over it and clicking every possible link. One of the items I found that took my breath away was this pair of trunks from Periwinkle Bloom.  Organic cotton, hand sewn, with buttons, I'm tempted to tag this image as "art" because, isn't it?

If you like to knit & are not yet familiar with the Purl Bee, Purl SoHo's knitting blog, you will love their feed because the projects presented are always inspiring yet accessible.  Yesterday's post is called Three Great Baby Sweaters: The three baby sweater projects shown were all carefully researched and chosen for baby friendliness by Whitney Van Ness (whom we love because her son is called Bear), a painter, knitter, & author of the column Whit Knits on the Purl Bee.  Enjoy!

Duck Duck Goose by Alec Thibodeau: Ink Ape

Duck Duck Goose is Alec Thibodeau's first print of 2009, and Niedźwiedź believes he's off to a great start, "duck! Duck!".  Know for his letterpress series Goes to Show You What a Moon Can Do... Alec is also a master screenprinter, minicomic & graphic novel maker based in Providence Rhode Island (What Cheer!).
