Montessori Infant Box with Tray: KidO Montessori From the Start: KidO
Just as Paula Polk Lillard and Lynn Lillard Jessen predicted in their book Montessori From the Start, this game is an engaging challenge beginning at 6 months. It is perfect for the child who is just beginning to sit up on his own.

Kids Today's Toy of the Hour is PlanToy's Sorting Train. It is great for recognising shapes and color, and is simple enough not to frustrate the 18 month old (though the recommended age is 2+). PlanToys are made from natural, chemical free rubber wood and finished with non-toxic and child friendly colors.
Today's toy of the moment is Vilac's Maison des Boules (tough competition on Christmas). It is wooden & includes 4 plastic balls to send down the ramp which are stopped by a metal bell that sends out a delightful ring. It is especially charming when done in rapid succession.
